postcards and photos from the early-mid 1900s

Wartburg, Blick auf Eisenach, BurschenSchaftsdenkmal u. Burschenhaus

I’m in a park at Wartburg just now waiting around til it’s time for the Marktbrite[???] train. It’s too hot to walk about so I’m sitting on a park chair with five children making sand pies at my feet. I’ve left my writing paper in my atache case which is in the left luggage. Otherwise I’d have been able to send a letter to you airmail. It’s addressed but not written yet. Miss D came as far as Meinenpass[???] with me and then she stayed on in the train and I had to change. I had a second change at Schueim[???] which I hadn’t known about until I got there. Second class is too dear and noone travels in it therefore I’ve had no company at all except a couple of inspectors, one on each train.
