There was a letter today from Mum for which we thank her. The letter from Italy was from Temiyanke [International violinist] who doesn’t think he can manage a night with us but will meet me in Glasgow sometime to discuss it. He writes an awfully nice letter. Today we have been looking at a picture gallery and I was at classes in the university until 1′o’clock. We bought a melon this afternoon and are attacking it with even more than our usual fervour. It’s a beauty. Best love Helen.
