Information & Introduction

This blog has been created to share the wonderful postcards and photographs my grandparents (and their close friends/relations) collected over the years. My Grandmother, Helen Finlayson, travelled frequently in her youth both for educational and recreation. She was a concert pianist who had the priviledge of travelling throughout Europe and fastidiuously collected and sent home many postcards.

This blog has been an ongoing joy to create and populate. I cannot recommend highly enough to anyone reading this - spend the time with your eldery family and relatives, sit down and go through their photos and memorabelia with them while you can - it is an amazing form of time travel where you get to see the images and hear first hand the accounts of people who lived and breathed the events. It is an amazing experience.
